Gheorghe Iovu a absolvit Şcoala Populară de Arte – clasa de ghitară şi canto. El este promoterul Muzicii Terapeutice din România încă din anul 1976, fiind sigurul ce compune astfel de cântece aparţinând acestui gen muzical.

Muzica lui a fost folosită şi testată ca terapie având rezultate remarcabile în câteva clinici, centre de sănătate, atât naţionale cât şi internaţionale. Promovează vindecarea, sporirea funcționarii mentale şi crearea unui sentiment general de bunăstare.

În 1998 el deschide la Timişoara primul centru de terapie muzicală din România, urmată de al doilea în anul 2005. Aici oferă sesiuni cu muzică terapeutică tuturor ce vor şi au nevoie, indiferent de situaţia financiară.

Gheorghe Iovu este un deschizător de drum. Nu doar din pricina muzicii sale dar şi datorită modului prin care acesta o transmite.

Pentru acesta muzica înseamnă viaţă, respirând şi trăind pe tonul ritmului universului. Muzica terapeutică reprezintă cea mai uşoara cale să ne descoperim pe noi înşine.

Gheorghe Iovu graduated the Timisoara Popular School of Art– guitar and singing class. He is the promoter of Therapeutic Music in Romania since 1976, being the only one to compose songs belonging to such a genre.

His music has been used and tested as therapy with outstanding results in several clinics, health centers, both national and international, to promote healing, enhance mental functioning and creating an overall sense of well-being.

In 1998 he opens in Timisoara the first music therapy center in Romania, followed by a second one in 2005, where he provides free sessions of music therapy to all those who want or need it, regardless of their economical status.

Iovu is a path opener, not only because of his music but also because of the way he shares it.
